Seven layer salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- grated Cheddar cheese
- celery - 1 c
- green pepper - 1/2 c
- slices bacon, fried and crumbled - 8 item
- eggs, hard-boiled and sliced - 4 item
- sweet onion, diced - 1 item
- frozen peas uncooked - 10 oz
- medium head lettuce, cut into bite size pieces - 1 item
- Miracle Whip for less fat, substitute 3/4 c
How to make seven layer salad:
Use a 9 x 13-inch dish or deep bowl. Layer lettuce, celery, eggs, peas, green pepper, onion and bacon.Combine dressing (Miracle Whip) and sugar. Spread mixture over vegetables. Sprinkle cheese on top. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours. Garnish with bacon, parsley and 1/2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes.
