Sausage cornbread bake
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 oz
- white self-rising corn meal
- sausage 16 oz - 1 lb
How to make sausage cornbread bake:
Brown sausage and onion; drain. Combine eggs, corn meal, corn, milk and oil. Pour half of the mixture into a 2-quart baking dish. Spread sausage and cheese, then pour remaining batter over top. Bake at 425° for 30 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, One Dish meal.
