- milk - 3/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can cream-style corn - 1 oz
- grated sharp Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- sausage - 1 lb
- self-rising cornmeal
How to make sausage cornbread bake:
Preheat oven to 425°. Grease a 10 1/2-inch skillet. Brown sausage and onion in medium skillet; drain well. Combine eggs, cornmeal, corn, milk and oil. Pour 1/2 of cornmeal mixture into prepared skillet. Sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese. Pour remaining batter over top. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
