Russian tea
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- water - 1 qt
- grated lemon rind - 1/2 tsp
- orange juice - 1 c
- grated orange rind - 1/2 tsp
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
- can pineapple juice - 1 oz
- 3-inch stick cinnamon - 1 item
- dry loose tea - 3 Tbsp
How to make russian tea:
Mix sugar, water, cinnamon and cloves in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Add tea and heat through. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Strain and add remaining ingredients. Heat but do not boil. Serve hot. Makes about 8 measuring cups.Repeat favorite.
