Russian tea
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- water - 4 c
- orange rind, grated - 1/2 tsp
- orange juice - 1 c
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
- lemon rind, grated - 1/2 tsp
- can pineapple juice - 1 oz
- 3-inch stick cinnamon - 1 item
- dry tea - 3 Tbsp
How to make russian tea:
In saucepan, combine sugar, water, cinnamon and cloves; bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Add tea, remove from heat and let stand, covered for 5 minutes. Strain; add remaining ingredients. Heat but do not boil. Serve hot. Yields about 8 cups.Recipe categories: Drinks, Russian, European.
