  • sugar
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • sifted flour
  • salad oil - 1 c
  • small jars baby food beets - 3 item

How to make red beet chocolate cake:

Beat eggs and sugar until light. Add oil, beets, melted chocolate and vanilla. Beat on low speed. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture.

Bake in a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 50 or 60 minutes. This is a moist cake.

Ice with your favorite icing.
