Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • salt
  • flour
  • water - 2/3 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 2/3 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • walnuts, chopped - 1 c
  • ground cloves - 1 tsp
  • can pumpkin - 1 lb

How to make pumpkin tea loaf:

Blend shortening and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin and water. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Mix well. Add raisins and walnuts. Put in 2 (9 x 5-inch) or 3 disposable greased loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours. Freezes very well. Can add any kind of nuts and chopped dates.
