- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- margarine, melted - 1/4 lb
- egg - 1 item
- pumpkin
- eggs - 3 item
- sugar - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- cinnamon
- cake mix
- margarine room temperature - 4 Tbsp
How to make pumpkin dessert:
Filling:1 can (29 oz.) pumpkin3 eggs1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. brown sugar2/3 c. milk1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. nutmeg1/2 tsp. ginger1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Topping: reserved c. cake mix4 Tbsp. margarine (room temperature)1/2 c. sugar Reserve 1 cup cake mix for topping. In a small bowl combine balance of cake mix, melted butter and egg. Press onto the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Beat together pumpkin, eggs, sugar, milk, salt, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon. Pour mixture over crust.Topping: Crumble together the reserved cake mix, margarine and sugar; sprinkle over pumpkin layer. Bake in 350° for 50 to 60 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
