Ingredients/Components
- Sugar - 3 C
- Salad Oil - 1 C
- Large Eggs, beaten - 4 item
- 16 oz can Pumpkin - 1 item
- Flour
- Salt - 2 tsp
- Baking Soda - 2 tsp
- Ground Cloves
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Allspice - 1 tsp
- Water
- Pecans, chopped optional
- Beat until light and fluffy
- Butter, softened
- Powdered Sugar - 2 C
- Vanilla Extract
- Grated Orange Rind - 1 tbsp
How to make pumpkin bread:
Using an electric mixer, combine sugar, oil and eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Stir in pumpkin. Combine dry ingredients and stir into pumpkin mixture. Add water and nuts, mixing well. Spoon batter into 2 well greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 65 to 75 min.Orange Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cream Cheese, softened 14 C. Butter, softened2 C. Powdered Sugar1 12 tsp. Vanilla Extract1 tbsp. Grated Orange Rind Combine cheese and butter in large mixing bowl. Beat until fluffy. Add sugar and beat until well blended.
