Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 2/3 c
- sugar
- eggs - 4 item
- can pumpkin 1 lb - 1 oz
- water - 2/3 c
- flour
- soda - 2 tsp
- salt
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 2/3 c
- raisins - 2/3 c
How to make pumpkin bread:
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into greased pans (two 9 x 5 x 3-inch pans or three 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch). Bake at 350° for 60 to 70 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Vegetables.
