Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- nuts optional - 1 c
- white syrup - 1 Tbsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- Wesson oil - 1 c
- chopped prunes, cooked - 1 c
- Mix wet ingredients in separate bowl
How to make prune cake:
Mix dry ingredients together. Mix wet ingredients in separate bowl. Mix both together and bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Sauce:1/2 c. buttermilk1/2 tsp. soda1 c. sugar1/2 c. margarine or butter1/2 tsp. vanilla1 Tbsp. white syrup Cook 8 or 10 minutes and pour over hot cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
