  • pkg - 2 oz
  • melted margarine - 3/4 c
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • large Cool Whip - 1 item
  • crushed pretzels - 2 c
  • large cream cheese - 1 item
  • plus 3 Tbsp - 1 c
  • box each strawberry and raspberry Jell-O - 1 item

How to make pretzel salad:

Mix together the pretzels, margarine and 3 tablespoons of the sugar. Put this in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in a 400° oven. Let this cool. Mix together cream cheese, the remaining sugar until well blended. Fold in Cool Whip. Prepare the Jell-Os with the boiling water. Mix in the frozen strawberries. Set in refrigerator until almost firm. Pour cream cheese mixture over the pretzel crust as soon as the crust cools. When the strawberry mixture is ready, add it to the pan. Refrigerate 6 to 8 hours before serving.
