How to make pot roast:
In a 6-quart saucepan, put oil and heat. Brown roast on both sides. Spoon off fat. Stir in mushroom soup, onion soup mix and 1 cup water. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 2 hours. Add vegetables. Cook 45 minutes. Remove roast and vegetables. Stir in flour and 1/2 cup water. Gradually stir into pot. Cook until it boils and thickens.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
