Ingredients/Components

• salt - 1/2 c
• water - 1 c
• plain flour - 1 c
• cream of tartar - 2 tsp
• vegetable oil or baby oil - 1 Tbsp
• several drops food coloring - 1 item

How to make play dough:

In medium saucepan, blend all ingredients except food coloring until smooth. Add color as desired. Mix well. Cool over low to medium heat until mixture forms a ball and is completely cooked. Will be terribly lumpy at first. Cool in a loose wrap of wax paper; knead until smooth.
