Pear crisp
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- dark brown sugar - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- quick cooking oatmeal - 1/2 c
- whipped cream or vanilla ice cream optional - 1 item
- ripe pears - 6 item
How to make pear crisp:
Heat oven to 375°. Spray a 2-quart glass baking dish with vegetable oil spray. Peel, core and slice pears and place in dish. Toss pear slices with lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. In a small bowl, combine flour and butter. Using your fingertips, rub butter into flour until it resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in brown sugar and oatmeal. Sprinkle over the top of the pears.
