Peanut butter cookies

Ingredients/Components

• shortening - 2 c
• peanut butter - 2 c
• brown sugar - 2 c
• granulated sugar - 2 c
• eggs - 4 item
• flour - 6 c
• salt - 1 tsp
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• baking powder - 2 tsp
• soda - 4 tsp

How to make peanut butter cookies:

Cream shortening and peanut butter together. Add sugars and continue to beat. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy. Sift flour; measure and add salt, soda and baking powder. Sift again. Gradually add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Shape dough into balls 1-inch in diameter. Place balls 2 to 3 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Press flat with fork. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
