Peach upside-down cake
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 c
- whipped cream - 1 item
- 1 stick butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- maraschino cherry halves - 1 item
- 13 oz - 1 lb
- Duncan Hines yellow Deluxe cake mix - 1 pkg
How to make peach upside-down cake:
Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan. Drain peaches and arrange with cherries in sugar mixture. Mix cake as directed; spread over fruit. Bake at 350° until done (45 to 50 minutes).Let stand 5 minutes. Turn upside-down onto a large platter. Serve warm with whipped cream. (Pineapple can be used, too.)
