Oriental cabbage salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- sesame seed - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- slivered almonds - 1 c
- bell pepper - 1 c
- medium head cabbage - 1 item
- onions - 1/2 c
- pieces chicken breast - 3 item
- Ramen chicken sesame flavor - 2 pkg
How to make oriental cabbage salad:
Break up and boil Ramen noodles, reserve spice packet. Drain and rinse. Toast almonds in butter. Combine noodles, almonds, chopped cabbage, onions, green peppers and sesame seed.Prepare dressing by combining oil, sugar, vinegar, spice packets from noodles, salt and pepper. Bake chicken in oven for 1 hour; cool and chop.
Lemon pepper may be sprinkled over chicken before baking, if so desired. Pour dressing over salad and chill 2 hours.
