Oriental cabbage salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- sliced almonds - 1 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
- white vinegar - 1/4 c
- sesame seeds - 1/4 c
- Ramen noodles oriental flavor - 2 pkg
- large head nappa cabbage, chopped - 1 item
- green onions, chopped green part only - 4 item
- chicken, cooked and diced optional to add to saute - 1 item
How to make oriental cabbage salad:
In skillet, saute until golden brown Ramen noodles (use 1 or 2 flavor packages to taste), butter, almonds and sesame seed.Dressing: Mix in large mixing bowl salad oil, soy sauce, white vinegar and sugar. Toss saute mixture and dressing with cabbage and green onions. Add cooked diced chicken to salad, if desired. Serve immediately and at room temperature. Refrigerate any unused portion.
