Overnight coleslaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, shredded - 2 item
- medium red onion, chopped - 1 item
- cabbage, shredded 1 medium head - 12 c
How to make overnight coleslaw:
Dressing:2 tsp. sugar1 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. celery seed1 tsp. salt1 c. vinegar3/4 c. vegetable oil In a large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Sprinkle with sugar, set aside. In saucepan, mix dressing ingredients and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour over vegetables, stir to cover. Refrigerate overnight; stir before serving.
