Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- basil - 1/8 tsp
- white vinegar - 1 c
- dash of red pepper - 1 item
- large white onions, sliced - 2 item
- chopped parsley or use dried parsley - 1 tsp
How to make onion salad:
Combine all ingredients except onions and heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour over onions and refrigerate in a covered container. Serve onion slices and some liquid on lettuce leaves.
