  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 3/4 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • raisins - 1 c
  • sour milk - 1 c
  • currants optional - 1 c

How to make norwegian coffee cake:

Rub with fingers into crumbs the flour, sugar and butter. Save 2 cups for top. Mix the remaining ingredients; add remaining crumb mixture. Pour into greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pan. Sprinkle crumbs on top. Bake for about 30 minutes in a 350° to 400° oven.
