Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- flour - 6 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- shortening - 1 c
- lukewarm water - 1 c
- sticks margarine, melted - 3 item
- RapidRise yeast - 2 pkg
How to make monkey bread:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt, boiling water and shortening; let cool. Add eggs and flour; mix well. Knead and roll out 1/4 to 1/3-inch thick. Cut into dumpling size. Dip each piece into the melted butter. Distribute in 2 Bundt pans and let rise until double in size. Bake at 350° for 30 or 40 minutes. Dump out and wrap in foil paper. Eat with honey while hot.
