Ingredients/Components

  • unsweetened cocoa - 4 tsp
  • dash of ground cloves - 1 item
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground cumin - 1 tsp
  • oregano leaves, crushed - 1 tsp
  • dash of nutmeg - 1 item
  • picante sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of allspice - 1 item
  • whole chicken, cut up and cooked in water - 1 item

How to make mole poblano:

Drain broth off chicken. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour over chicken. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer gently 10 minutes. Remove chicken to serving platter; keep warm. Cook and stir sauce until slightly thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes. Spoon over chicken. Can double recipe but do not double the cocoa. Serve with Spanish rice.
