Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 item
- cinnamon - 1/2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 c
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- molasses - 1/2 c
- pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
How to make molasses pie:
Beat egg yolks until thick. Add molasses and butter. Combine sugar, spices, salt, flour and cornstarch. Add to first mixture. Mix thoroughly. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into pastry lined pie crust. Bake in hot oven (425°) about 15 minutes.
