Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
- can black beans, drained - 1 item
- can Shoepeg corn, drained - 1 item
- jar chopped pimento, drained - 1 item
- can French style green beans, drained - 1 item
- can Lesueur English peas, drained - 1 item
How to make marinated veggie salad:
Combine first 6 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cool. Combine vegetables and stir in vinegar mixture. Cover and place in refrigerator 12 hours, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Northeastern U.S..
