Marinated vegetables
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt
- water - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- small jar pimento - 1 item
- can French green beans - 1 item
- can white Shoe Peg corn - 1 item
- small can English peas - 1 item
- purple onion, sliced or chopped - 1 item
How to make marinated vegetables:
Marinade:1 tsp. salt1 tsp. pepper3/4 c. vinegar3/4 c. sugar1/2 c. salad oil1 tsp. water Drain corn, beans and English peas. Add in chopped vegetables. Mix together or shake in a jar the marinade. Pour over the vegetables and refrigerate overnight. You may stir up occasionally. Drain before serving. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Vegetables.
