Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1 c
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • chili powder - 1 tsp
  • ground turkey - 1 lb
  • can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • onion, chopped - 1/2 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
  • red pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp
  • small can kidney beans - 1 item

How to make low-fat chili:

In a large pot, brown turkey. Drain any excess fat. Add onion, pepper and garlic. Stir until onion changes color. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 hours. (One cup with 5 crackers equals 8 grams total fat.)
