Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- flour - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- powdered sugar - 1/2 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- butter or margarine, softened - 1 c
- lemon juice juice of 2 lemons - 5 Tbsp
How to make lemon bars:
Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Combine flour, butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly and press into ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes.Meanwhile, mix eggs, sugar, salt and lemon juice. Fold in 1/4 cup flour and baking powder. Pour onto hot crust. Bake 25 minutes longer. Cool. Cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Yields 2 dozen.
