Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 1 item
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- cracker crumbs - 1 c
- thinly sliced zucchini - 6 item
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- thinly sliced red tomatoes - 6 item
- white onion rings - 1 item
How to make layered salad:
In a shallow casserole dish (13 x 9-inch) layer: zucchini and tomatoes. Cover these with thinly sliced white onion rings. Sprinkle over vegetables: brown sugar, basil, salt and pepper to taste. Cover all with cracker crumbs. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and bake 30 minutes at 350°. Remove cover and bake another 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Salads, 3 steps or less, > 1 day.
