Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- cider vinegar - 6 c
- hot pepper - 1 item
- heads dill - 2 item
- medium size cucumbers - 1 item
- pure salt - 1/2 c
- clove garlic 1/2 in each jar - 1 item
- alum a tiny speck no larger than a grain of rice - 1 item
How to make kosher dill pickles:
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. In the meantime, pack 4 hot sterilized quart jars with the dill, garlic, cucumbers, hot pepper and alum. Now, fill jars to within 1/2-inch of top with the hot vinegar, salt solution.Recipe categories: Low protein, Side dish, Vegetables.
