Kentucky bourbon balls
Ingredients/Components
- confectioners sugar - 1 c
- finely chopped pecans - 1 c
- dark corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- finely crushed vanilla wafers - 1 c
- 86 proof bourbon - 1/4 c
- unsweetened cocoa - 1 Tbsp
How to make kentucky bourbon balls:
Stir together the bourbon and syrup; thoroughly stir in the remaining ingredients. Spoon 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture onto wax paper, generously covered with extra confectioners sugar. Roll each into a ball; roll in the sugar on the paper. Refrigerate in a tightly covered container at least overnight before serving.Just before offering, shake a little confectioners sugar over the balls. Store in refrigerator or freezer; they keep a long time. Makes about 3 dozen.
