Kentucky biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 1 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
How to make kentucky biscuits:
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar in a mixing bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk. Mix quickly to make a soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured surface; knead a few times to make a soft dough. Roll out to a 6 x 6-inch square. Place on ungreased baking sheet. With knife, cut dough into 12 even portions.
