Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 Tbsp
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla
- flour - 3 c
- oil - 1 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- orange juice - 1/4 c
- apples, peeled and sliced - 2 qt
How to make jewish apple cake:
Mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Peel and slice apples and set aside. Cream sugar and oil; add eggs, one at a time. Mix baking powder and flour together and add this alternately with orange juice. Add vanilla. Bake in a greased tube pan; use batter first, then apples, then sugar/cinnamon mixture. Layer until all is used. Bake 1/2 hour at 375°, then 1 hour at 350°. This keeps well.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
