Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • sesame seed - 2 Tbsp
  • slivered almonds - 2 Tbsp
  • green onions, chopped - 4 item
  • boneless, skinless chicken breasts - 2 item
  • head chopped cabbage - 1/2 item
  • Top Ramen Oriental flavor - 1 pkg
  • Marukan seasoned rice vinegar - 2 Tbsp

How to make japanese cabbage salad:

Mix cabbage and onions together in a bowl. Set aside. Mix oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper well. Chop up chicken into chunks and add to cabbage mixture. I have found that the salad has better flavor if you barbecue the chicken. Add crushed noodles, sesame seed and almonds. Serve.

Once you have added the dressing, the mixture will not keep overnight. It will become soggy. You may want to reserve some to mix together for later.
