Irish soda bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- sour cream - 1/2 pt
- salt
- soda
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- soft butter - 4 Tbsp
- box raisins - 1/2 item
- presifted flour - 2 c
How to make irish soda bread:
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; set aside. Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs, raisins and sour cream; stir. Stir in dry ingredients. Batter will be stiff. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350° for about 1 hour or until top is golden brown. Wrap and slice bread the next day. Also freezes well.You may use caraway seeds in place of raisins if you wish.
