  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • corn meal - 2 c
  • onions, finely chopped - 2 item

How to make hush puppies:

Mix unsifted dry ingredients. Add eggs, chopped onions and enough milk to make a stiff batter. Drop by spoonfuls into hot grease. Brown on both sides. Drain. Serves 4 to 6.
