Ingredients/Components
- ground round - 1 lb
- diced onions - 1 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- uncooked rice - 3/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- Chinese noodles - 1 item
How to make hamburger chow mein:
Brown meat, onions and celery in butter in a large, heavy skillet until meat loses red color and onions are tender. Mix in soups (undiluted), rice, water and soy sauce. Pour into greased casserole. Cover; bake at 350° for 1 hour. Uncover; sprinkle with Chinese noodles. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes longer. Yields 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
