  • sugar - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • oil - 2/3 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • ginger - 2 to
  • molasses or cane syrup - 1/4 c

How to make gingersnaps:

Combine oil and sugar; add egg and beat. Stir in syrup. Combine dry ingredients and mix together. Roll dough in 1-inch balls. Using 1/3 cup of granulated sugar, roll balls in sugar and place 2-inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes about 48 cookies.
