Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • soda
  • molasses - 3/4 c
  • ginger - 4 tsp
  • margarine - 3/4 c
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp

How to make gingersnaps:

Sift together dry ingredients. Cream margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time and add molasses. Add dry ingredients. Chill thoroughly. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a tumbler. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
