  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • vinegar - 1 c
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1 c
  • celery seed - 1/2 tsp
  • unpeeled sliced cucumbers - 7 c

How to make german cucumber salad:

Let first 4 ingredients set 1 hour in refrigerator. Mix sugar, vinegar and celery seed. Drain salt from cucumber mixture. Pour sugar mixture over cucumbers. Chill 1 hour. May be kept 3 months in fridge. May be frozen in small container.
