German chocolate pies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- butter or margarine - 1/4 lb
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- coconut
- white sugar
- unbaked pie shells - 2 item
- German chocolate - 1 pkg
- cream or 1 14 1/2 oz
How to make german chocolate pies:
Mix chocolate and butter. Gradually blend in milk. Set aside. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, eggs, coconut and vanilla. Gradually beat in chocolate mixture and pour into pie shells. Sprinkle pecans over top. Bake 45 minutes at 350°. Cool for 4 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Eggs/dairy, Egg.
