German chocolate caramel bars
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- pkg - 6 oz
- evaporated milk - 1/3 c
- melted butter - 3/4 c
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- light caramels - 50 item
How to make german chocolate caramel bars:
Melt and stir caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in heavy pan. Mix in large bowl the cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and pecans. Stir until dough hangs together. Press half of dough in well-greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Pour caramel mix over chips. Spoon rest of dough on top.
