Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 1/8
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 3/4 c
- whipped topping if desired - 1 item
- can pineapple chunks in natural juices - 1 (20
- mixed fresh fruit chunks apples, bananas, oranges, strawberries, grapes, pears, etc - 1 qt
- flaked coconut may be omitted - 1/3 c
How to make fruit salad:
Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Set pineapple aside.In saucepan, combine pineapple juice and pudding mix. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Cool.
Combine pineapple and other fruit, nuts and coconut in salad bowl. Add dressing and stir to coat. Chill until ready to serve. Garnish with whipped topping if desired. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
