Ingredients/Components
- corn oil
- eggs - 3 item
- peeled and chopped apples - 3 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- sugar - 2 c
- self-rising flour - 3 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- stick margarine - 1 item
How to make fresh apple cake:
Beat oil, eggs and sugar. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Add vanilla, apples and nuts; mix well. Grease and flour tube or Bundt pan. Bake at 250° for 1 1/2 hours. Cool and invert.Topping: Mix the brown sugar, margarine, evaporated milk and vanilla. Cook to a full boil. Spread over cake.
