Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- coarsely chopped, peeled apples
How to make fresh apple cake:
Combine apples and sugar in a large bowl and let stand 10 minutes. Sift dry ingredients together. Blend into the apple-sugar mixture the oil and egg, then add dry ingredients, stirring until just blended. Fold in raisins and walnuts. Spread evenly in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
