Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- cornstarch
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- plain flour - 2 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- fig preserves - 1 c
- Add flour and beat well
How to make fig preserve cake:
Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add flour and beat well. Add eggs, beating well after each. Add milk and vanilla; mix well. Stir in preserves and nuts. Pour into 10-inch greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes, remove from pan.Buttermilk Glaze:1/2 c. sugar1/4 tsp. soda1/4 c. margarine1/4 c. buttermilk1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Combine sugar, soda, margarine, buttermilk and cornstarch and bring to boil.
