  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • cornstarch
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • plain flour - 2 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • fig preserves - 1 c
  • Add flour and beat well

How to make fig preserve cake:

Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add flour and beat well. Add eggs, beating well after each. Add milk and vanilla; mix well. Stir in preserves and nuts. Pour into 10-inch greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes, remove from pan.Buttermilk Glaze:1/2 c. sugar1/4 tsp. soda1/4 c. margarine1/4 c. buttermilk1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Combine sugar, soda, margarine, buttermilk and cornstarch and bring to boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over warm cake.
