Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 c
  • cocoa powder - 1/3 c
  • baking powder
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • blanched almonds, chopped - 1 c
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 2/3 c

How to make double chocolate almond biscotti:

Beat butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually beat in dry ingredients. Stir in almonds and chocolate chips. Shape dough into 2 logs (1 1/2 x 15-inches). Bake at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes; cool. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Put on baking sheet, cut side down. Bake an additional 30 to 40 minutes or until dried.
