Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- grated lemon rind - 1 tsp
- grated orange rind - 1 tsp
- juice of 2 lemons
- Lemon-Orange Topping: juice of 2 oranges
How to make cupcakes:
Lemon-Orange Topping: juice of 2 oranges1 tsp. grated lemon rind2 c. sugar juice of 2 lemons1 tsp. grated orange rind Cream margarine and sugar together. Add egg yolks, then add dry ingredients. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to batter with vanilla. Bake in well-greased and floured muffin tins.Topping: Mix all ingredients together and stir until sugar is dissolved. Dip cupcakes into this mixture while cakes are still warm. Leave cakes out in air to harden.
