Cranberry banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- vegetable shortening - 2/3 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- can whole berry cranberry sauce - 1 oz
- sifted self-rising flour
- mashed bananas 4 medium - 2 c
How to make cranberry banana nut bread:
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt-type pan; set aside.Cream sugar and shortening, with electric mixer in mixing bowl, until light and fluffy. Add eggs; blend well. Add flour, walnuts, baking soda and bananas; blend well. Stir in cranberry sauce.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn out onto wire rack to cool.
